Join Avanti Café Thursday for a special community agriculture dinner and celebrate the winter harvest with live music, art and prizes. The five course prix-fixe dinner includes raw, vegan and vegetarian fusion cuisine with two seatings at 6:30 or 8:30 p.m.

Avanti has teamed up with the Palmo Project, and it’s a chance for you to meet local farmers and learn more about their mission of planning sustainable events to support a plant based lifestyle. The cost is $35 per person.

Special event at Carrol Boyes

Acclaimed South African designer Carrol Boyes is hosting a special shopping event in support of the UCI Diabetes Center all day Thursday.

Carrol Boyes flagship West Coast store at Fashion Island specializes in contemporary and innovative designs for the kitchen, table top, bath, office and home. The stunning products are made of lead free pewter, stainless steel, aluminum and wood. It’s the perfect place to find whimsical and artistic holiday gifts.

Purchase $150 or more and receive a free gift and 15% of all sales will be donated to he UCI Diabetes Center. Wine and hors d’ouevres will be served from 5 to 10 p.m.
